We're all packed and ready to go. Bike is loaded on the ute and everything (I hope) is ready for it's move to Rotorua. Can't imagine how packed Paul and Kathy's and Phil and Kate's cars will be with 2 triathletes in the family.
I had a good swim in the pool yesterday so I am less freaked about the lack of recent swim training. Stroke felt good and relaxed and I was able to play with pace and find one that I think I can sustain for 2K. Probably all go out the window in all the bumping and bashing in the swim start but it was good yesterday.
I've bought myself a new pump and resisted the CO2 cartridge idea. I will definitely try them soon but not 2 days out from the race. Pump is good and I can get 100+ pressure which would be OK.
Weather forecast is for some rain/showers and light/moderate southerlies (maybe SE) ... I'm quite happy with that.
Plan for today is to get into our room, check out the lake, pick up my timing chip and after dinner go for a swim in the lake. Meeting all the Rotorua Bloggers at the lake at 6:15pm. Hopefully there'll be some 'blogger meetup photos. Then the plan is for an early night. Might have to put the clocks forward again ... mmmmm ..... One hour or two???

Good luck, good luck!
We'll be awaiting with anticipation!
I've just heard from my little sister who did the Rotorua Half Ironman today. She came in in 6 hours 55 seconds (beat my time from last year - grrrrr). But more importantly she seems to think that some tall brit in funny looking socks was in front of her (which reading between the lines would suggest a Sub6 may have been achieved????)
Stay relaxed and be sure to rest up.
Stay within yourself and remember to save some for the run...
Oh, enjoy the moment...you earned it.
