Turned out to be a good weight loss. I was worried (again) that I wouldn't lose but it turned out OK.
Last week's weight 88.8kg
This week's weight 87.9kg
This week's loss 0.9Kg (2lbs sounds more to me)
Total loss so far is 9.6Kg which is a 9.8% loss overall. Few grams loss next week and I should hit the 10% mark. Well pleased.
I'm still leading the challenge by neary 5% and next week is the halfway mark. One person lost 2kg this week. I'll have to keep an eye on her!
The only bad news is that they didn't explain about the admin fee from all the subscriptions. They made it sound like winner took 50% of all takings. I found on another challenge (same company) that they take $15 of the $35 and then winner takes 50%. Still means $500 for winner so not complaining. (50% of 50 starters x $20 = $500)
I nearly invoked the last minute turbo training weight loss option because I didn't think I had lost this week but I ran out of time. I can use that in an emergency though. I'm sure I could drop at least a kg by pedaling for an hour in the basement with no fan on and drinking no water. Bit drastic I know but when there's money at stake ..

You need to find that woman that lost 2kg and spike her water bottle with some sugar ;-)
Don't forget if you REALLY need to drop some emergency kg's you can always use a laxative and do your turbo session wearing plastic trash bags (over your body...not your head).
Nothing drops kg's like some serious time in the loo and sweating in trash bags.
Good Luck!
Keep it up - I would suggest going ahead and spending the money - that way you will have even more incentive :)
I think you need to be doing this as a weight lose programme & not a money making scheme. Lose the kg's so those hills are easier & running faster.
Take the money as a bonus & we'll see you @ IMNZ
Well done! I'd be really annoyed about the prize money thing though.
The story of the disappearing man is what this is sounding like - that's an amazing amount of weight in a short space of time! Maybe I should have joined too........
@ ryan ... bit drastic with the bin bags and laxatives but if it gets close towards the end :)
@ Tim ... that is a great idea!
@ TriSaint ... See you on the start line for IMNZ 2011 ???
@ pip ... It's not about the money ... yeah right!!!
@ Kathy ... remember though that I did eat like a pig for 4 days and I CAN eat!!! ... pity you didn't join as well. I think another starts straight after this one. You could win that one :)
Congrats on the weight loss! I can't believe how fast you seem to be losing. (And yes, 2lbs sounds much better).
Pretty impressive stuff! Have you radically changed your diet or is it more excercise?
