It has meant that I've ridden loads. Almost 8 hours on the bike this week and it's been great ... although today's ride wasn't so good. My friend borrowed a road bike and there were lots of stops/starts to get it adjusted and then we didn't make the top of one of the climbs cos he didn't have enough gears. All good though.
I didn't swim at all last week either. That little habit has to stop. Work has just been so hectic that I have been working through lunch breaks and not getting to the pool. It might calm down soon ... hopefully! I need to swim!
One good thing to report is that the new watch is great for geocaching. Me and the kids found three yesterday and Jo joined us today and we found another. We couldn't find the two others we looked for today but by then it had started raining and so it was time to head home anyway.
Weight is staying off but I am struggling. I find it much easier to lose weight than to actually keep it off. I can be very strict with myself when I am losing but find it much harder to eat 'just a little' more. I'll get the hang of it though. Don't want to be a continual yo-yo dieter ...

8 hours on the bike... WOW!
Really bad luck with the calf. Pretty frustrating! Have you established a pattern about when it get aggrevated? Can a physio and/or podiatrist help?
Good work keeping the weight off after your challenge. Perhaps you need to give yourself a maintenance goal to ensure motivation :)
Bugger about the calf, must be time you traded it in for a new one??
Hi stranger (Kieran) ... a new one would be great.
And Aaron ... the basic pattern is that it goes if I run too fast after a period of not running for a few days. It usually happens between the 6 and 8K mark so its not that the calf isn't warm ... I just think that it gets stretched beyond its limit. I stretch and warm up but it still 'goes'. I should be OK if I just keep the effort/speed down. Nothing over 130HR ... makes for an easy running life :)
