It has not been a good week for training ... although had a fantastic weekend with Jo and the kids making a 'Happy Birthday' video for Jo's dad
who's 70 next month. We were videoing ourselves singing and dancing to the Stevie Wonder 'Happy Birthday' song in locations all around
Tauranga and the Mount. Luckily no where was particularly busy so we only got caught a couple of times. We have been wetting ourselves laughing at the footage. Hope her dad appreciates it. It is funny now that Adam is chief video editor with his Apple Mac. That has been my role for so long. Things have come a long way since I used to edit with two VHS video recorders and two very synchronised fingers. All this drag and drop ... kids just don't know what we had to go through in the olden days :)
Short story of the week training wise is that I thought my calf was OK to run with on Thursday but it turned out it wasn't. No big deal. Just sent me back to the drawing board. I have a two week plan in place and I won't rush it this time. There's plenty of time till the Rotorua Half in December ... and I've decided that even if the calf goes again this time I WILL finish. I reckon I could walk/hobble/jog and make the cut-offs ... just!
No swimming to report. Not even a swim with the kids this weekend. Maybe I'll get wet next week.
